Rancilio MD40 Commercial Grinder
The MD-Series dosing grinder covers a wide range of machines specifically designed to obtain optimal results using various coffee blends and roasts, the grinding phase being one of the most important steps in preparing a superior quality espresso. MD dosing grinders are equipped with a powerful electric motor operating at low speed, in order to avoid an excessive heating of the coffee and to fully maintain taste and flavour.
The Rancilio MD 40 grinder is capable of grinding up to 6.5 Lbs. of espresso per hour. The MD40 grinds an average 7 gram espresso shot in about 8 seconds. Specially designed 2″ diameter machined burrs “cut” the coffee instead of pulverizing it - for superior espresso extraction. The heavy duty slow RPM motor is thermally protected and the doser is adjustable to meter from 5 to 7.5 grams of espresso. The MD 40 has an infinite adjustment grind range.
