Now in a rich cranberry red to liven up any location! The Nuova Simonelli Oscar Professional semi-commercial espresso machine offers unmatched performance in it’s price class. How did Nuova Simonelli do it? The Oscar Professional was designed with performance in mind.
Commercial grade components include a largest-in class 2 L chrome-plated copper boiler for durability, 3-way solenoid valve, commercial brass group head and 58mm portafilter, sarai commercial pressurestat all encased in a sturdy metal frame. With a selection of components usually found in much larger and costlier espresso machines, Nuova Simonelli keeps the price down by using an attractive ABS exterior instead of costly stainless steel. The Oscar is a sharp looker with a sleek design and choice of colour.
The Oscar uses a heat exchanger design, common in commercial espresso machines. The large boiler provides plenty of steam for frothing milk and indirectly heats the water that is used for brewing and maintaining the temperature of the brew group. The large 2 L boiler size provides ample steam for quick and powerful steaming and frothing of milk for lattes and cappuccinos.
Brewing is a controlled process with excellent thermal stability of the commercial brew group through thermosiphoning. The heat exchanger design allows for simultaneous brewing and frothing for high output and hot beverages. The ball joint swivel steam wand allows easy movement and the commercial sized steam wand is fitted with a removable 4-hole steam tip and an anti-scald rubber sleeve.
The boiler is insulated for power savings and thermal stability (see photo). A passive cup warming surface preheats your cups, crucial for maintaining temperature of a freshly brewed espresso.
The 2.3 liter easily removable water tank automatically feeds the boiler for hassle free operation. Brewing pressure is provided by a powerful vibration pump and a 3 way solenoid valve provides pressure relief and a drier “puck” after brewing espresso. Both a single and double filter holder are included, both full 58mm. commercial size and same as all Nuova Simonelli commercial machines.
The machine will accommodate ground coffee or ESE pods. The Nuova Simonelli Oscar accommodates various cup sizes with a reversible drip tray grill that changes platform height. The drip tray itself can hold up to 1 liter of water.
