DeLonghi is proud to introduce their new Espresso Maker. Kick back and enjoy a great cup of espresso from your new machine it’s easy and great tasting two of the most important things in an espresso machine.

It has so many great features we don’t know where to begin. This machine offers two seperate Thermostats that allow you to control both water and steam temperature, it automatically self primes, Stainless Steel warming plate for warm ready to use cups, Heavy-duty chrome removable drip tray, 1.5 liter removable water tank, patented dual-function filter holder and much more. This unit will make that perfect Espresso to start your morning off right.

That’s it, plain and simple. I do love this machine. It’s been in my home six months now, has broken in well and makes as good as, or better, espresso than I can find in any shop in town. The crema is plentiful and so is the foam, and the taste of the coffee is ambrosia.

A couple of suggestions, though…when it arrives, throw out the coffee pods that ship with it (horrible!), and invest in a good coffee that you can grind and tamp, yourself. And…if you live in a hard water area as I do, use purified water in ANY machine that you purchase, to cut down on scale buildup and improve the taste of your java.

New to espresso I originally bought a Farberware Espresso Machine, I won’t say anymore on that other than do not buy a Farberware Espresso Machine. After that experience I decided to fork over a bit more cash for a nicer model. Ended up buying the Delongi after reading the reviews. I will say right off the bat the statements of many of the reviews of this item making lukewarm and not hot water are very true. But that doesnt bother me all that much as I usually have my coffee lukewarm, or iced, not hot.

The Machine works great. During operation it is not all that loud, however in my opinion it is very Bassey (think of a college student with one of their boom cars blasting away, laugh every time I see one or more accurately feel one, are they compensating anyone). Produces a good cup of espresso, good again not great. The Illy cups that came with it are a bit bitter for my taste and don’t pack all that much punch. Feel like i’m having a Why Bother (Decaffeinated Coffee) that been left out too long. Though I will admit that the Illy Pods I got were a year past their freshness date, other opinions may vary as well as be more accurate towards the Illy pods.
