This thermal coffee maker’s carafe maintains over 90% of its peak temperature four hours after brewing. Ten cups of coffee can be brewed in six minutes, and a “stop and serve” feature allows the carafe to be removed to pour a cup during brewing without dripping. The stainless steel carafe has a wide 3″ mouth for easy cleaning and keeps brewed coffee hot for hours without cooking the liquid as is common with many hot-plate coffee makers, thereby preserving the brew’s original fresh taste. It has a 24-hour programmable clock/timer and a 36″ cord. Uses #2 or #4 cone-shaped filters.

I am very happy with this Zojirushi coffeemaker. I had forgotten what a truly HOT cup of coffee tastes like. It is wonderful. Easy to use, cleans nicely, looks good on the counter. I did have to get used to the pot handle being on the left. It seems like it would be perfect for a left handed person. That aside, I wouldn’t trade this coffeemaker for anything. I chose this because of reviews in Consumer Reports.
Lots of folks dislike the burnt flavor that coffee gets when it sits in a glass pot over a heating element. To avoid this, coffee shops often brew right into large thermal pots to keep the coffee warm without it becoming overcooked. The Zojirushi Fresh Brew does that, too, but in home-sized batches. It looks great, too, with a glossy black body and stainless steel… More carafe and brew basket.
