Cuisinart introduces coffee without the carafe! The Coffee on demand coffeemaker has a simple “press to serve” lever that delivers up to 12 cups of hot coffee, cup by cup, from a double wall reservoir. Our exclusive Coffee gauge on the front of the unit counts down the cups remaining. With 24-hour programmability, auto shutoff, professional brushed stainless steel housing, and clean, contemporary styling, this is one of the easiest-and almost elegant- coffeemakers on the market.
The coffee grounds ride up the sides of the filter and then end up in the coffee. When pouring the coffee it leaks everywhere so you need to do it over the sink. Then to top it off I found out that there was a recall. So now I have to get it fixed.
Have had two thermal decanters and they both leak when pouring hot coffee. Was told it’s the “oils” from the coffee that harden the pouring area, allowing coffee to leak. It was recommended that every two weeks, take dishwashing liquid and rub around the pouring area to remove the oils. This was supposed to take care of the problem. Unfortunately the decanter still leaks.
And because the decanter doesn’t have a tight seal, the coffee gets cool quickly. Had to buy myself a Carafe to keep the coffee hot that I assumed the Bunn decanter would keep hot. I am being sent another decanter, hope this one doesn’t leak, but I have my doubts.
I wouldn’t recommend purchasing this specific Bunn coffee brewer, but I would still buy another type of Bunn brewer. Have been with Bunn for about 30 years now. Just very disappointed the decanter isn’t any good, especially since it’s the key part of the brewer!
