Not only does this coffee maker look great, it makes a great cup of coffee. The top is hinged on the back so that when it is opened, one can access all interior portions of the maker. Water reservoir has side view cup indicator for a maximum of 12 cups. Has mechanism for charcoal filter. Comes with optional gold coffee filter, but will likewise hold a plain filter, that rests inside the removable filter basket that is both deep and wide enough to accommodate finely ground coffee without backing up.
The coffee reservoir is likewise removable for easy cleaning (both the filter basket and the coffee reservoir have handles for easy removal). Water flows through a showerhead type of delivery system, which can be easily cleaned when the top is opened. The brew time is perfect - neither too fast nor too slow, so the cup it delivers is consistently good.
Of course, no longer having to deal with coffeepots with inadequate spouts that spill while pouring is an absolute Godsend!! The drip tray and grill below the dispensing area are removable as well, making clean-up quite easy.
Within two weeks after purchasing one of these for home use, I bought one to replace the dribbling-spouted pot at my office. Three friends have now likewise purchased this maker based on my recommendation and having used it in my home or office and I’ve given one as a gift.
