Saeco Talea Ring Plus

The Primea Ring has all of the features in our Talea Ring Plus fully automatic coffee/espresso center, but instead of having the external Milk Island, the Primea has an integrated milk frothing system! With its flexible programming features, the Primea allows you to choose from pre-programmed, yet adjustable coffee drinks; coffee, espresso, cappuccino, lattes, and more!

The “Ring” in the title of this model comes from Saeco’s new touch sensitive “control ring” located in the center of the control panel. You can scroll through the machine’s many brewing options by moving your finger around the control ring. As you scroll, all of the machine’s brewing options are displayed on the digital screen. Once you have scrolled to the desired setting or brewing option, simply press the coffee cup icon in the center of the ring.

The outstanding feature of the Primea Ring is the fully automated integrated milk frothing system. Simply pour the desired amount of fresh cold milk into the 12 ounce milk container, insert it into the machine, and then press the froth button on the machine and watch as perfectly steamed and frothed milk is dispensed. When you choose a latte, latte macchiato, or a cappuccino from the beverage menu, the Primea will automatically combine hot, frothed milk and espresso from the dual function dispensing spouts right into your cup! You can even select the option of dispensing hot milk by itself. You may select either one or two beverages to be prepared at the same time, or if you desire to double the size of the selected beverage, simply choose the option fro the menu!

Where to start? The new Saeco Talea Ring Plus features a very stylish exterior, unlike anything on the market today and all housed in a very compact footprint. The two tone silver and titanium finish blends well in any decor. Packed with features and with an available “Milk Island” auto frothing attachment, the Talea is sure to deliver both great coffee and complements in your home.

The SBS (Saeco Brewing System) allows you to prepare all kinds of coffee - from an espresso to a “cafe crem” coffee always with the signature crema on top, simply by turning the SBS dial. The SBS dial on the front of the brewing dispenser regulates the pump output pressure of the machine. In the full clockwise position you get the intense and flavourful espresso experience. The more the SBS knob is rotated left, the more pressure and brewing water are bypassed and the the coffee becomes more like an American style long (drip) coffee, but with more flavour and crema on top! So now you can retire your other coffee makers to the yard sale - the Talea satisfies all tastes! The Saeco Talea Ring Plus solves the dilemma of different household members wanting different styles of coffee.

At the touch of a button, the Saeco Talea grinds each serving from whole bean, automatically dosing and tamping the coffee, brewing through high-pressure adjustable (SBS) extraction, and dispensing into the cup. The i-pod like click wheel allows you to choose 1 or 2 coffees, short, long or extra-long, cappuccino or hot water. The Talea Ring Plus has coffee pre-infusion for maximum flavour extraction. Used “coffee pucks” are ejected into an internal “dregs drawer”, which is accessed by opening the side door.

More Features: The innovative, exclusive ceramic grinder, first introduced on the Incanto line, is both quiet and long-lasting. New features include an advanced dual-stage long-life Stainless Steel boiler, improved metal Panerello frother and a drip tray which raises and lowers with the gentle touch of a finger. The metal cup warmer plate on top has a heater element inside that brings the surface temperature to 160F. The bypass doser chute can be used for adding ground decaf or sampling a new espresso blend. The ceramic, conical burr grinder has 6 different grind setting. Hot Water for tea, etc. is available at the twist of a knob. A swivel base allows easy positioning. The Saeco Talea’s water reservoir can easily be refilled by removing it with the easy-grip handle and filling it at the kitchen tap. The reservoir is made of clear ABS plastic so checking the water level is a breeze. When the water runs low, the display light will remind you to refill the water reservoir.

Espresso can only taste as good as the water used to make it, and that’s why the Saeco Talea Ring Plus comes with an Aqua Prima water filter. This filter removes chlorine and any unpleasant tastes from your tap water, and also helps reduce any scale build-up in your machine. When you first install the filter, make sure to turn it on in the maintenance section of the “beverage setting” menu. The Talea will then be able to alert you whenever it’s time to replace the filter. The Saeco Talea Ring Plus features a 57 oz removable reservoir for easy filling and cleaning. It fits seamlessly into the side paneling of the machine and is simple to remove. Its large size also ensures you’ll have plenty of time between refills.

If you love waking up and having your machine primed and ready to go, the Saeco Talea Ring Plus can be set to turn on at the time of your choosing, and can also be set to shut down automatically. You can even set the Talea to turn on at a different time every day of the week, so it always fits your schedule. The Talea will also go into energy saving mode after 3 hours of being idle. You can change the amount of time before going into energy saving mode in the “stand-by setting” menu. All of the internal cleaning cycles on the Saeco Talea Ring Plus are automated, making the maintenance of this machine relatively easy. Descaling every 2-3 months, daily rinse cycles, and brew group cleaning are all controlled in the “machine maintenance” section of the programming menu. The Talea will automatically run a rinse cycle on start-up to both rinse away any build-up, and to heat up the components of the machine.

There are only a few components on the Saeco Talea that need to be cleaned by hand. The Milk Island is easily removed from the base for cleaning, and the steam wand should be wiped down with a damp cloth after every use to prevent milk build-up. It is also recommended to direct the steam wand over the drip tray and start the flow of steam for a moment to expel any milk that might be in it. The drip tray and internal dump box can also be removed and cleaned with ease, along with the drip tray. Saeco had your kitchen counters in mind when they designed the Talea’s wheel base. This base allows you to move the Talea anywhere across your kitchen counter without having to lift it.

Maintenance: The Talea features a patented and industry leading easy-to-remove coffee brewing group. A main benefit includes being able to quick-rinse the whole coffee-brew in the sink. About once a week or each time the bean hopper is filled, is a good schedule. With the included brew group key the coffee screen can be removed periodically for a more thorough cleaning. The Taleo has an automatic cleaning cycle and decalcifying cycle, which can be programmed according to the local water hardness.

he Talea Ring Plus monitors your use and will alert you via the LCD screen when you need to perform any automatic cleaning cycles, so the days of marking the cleanings on the calendar are officially over. The patented Saeco Easy Clean System? removable internal brew group has been tested millions of times throughout the world. It only takes a simple gesture for it to be quickly and easily removed from the machine and cleaned. Just rinse it under running water to remove all traces of dirt and coffee residues, which when left inside the machine, change the flavor of the coffee and interfere with the correct functioning of the brew group. This simple cleaning, when done in conjunction with the automatic descaling brew group cleaning cycles ensures the Talea Ring Plus will produce consistently delicious espresso every time you turn it on.

The New Talea Ring Plus is the trouble-free and automated way to enjoy all your favourite espresso and milk drinks, teas, and now Cafe Crem and Cafe Americanos at home or at the office!
